Dark // Netflix Watches

Hello everybody! Today I wanted to talk to you about another Netflix show I’ve discovered and really enjoyed.

Without going into too much detail and ruining the plot of ‘Dark’, a child goes missing and the search for this child means that a lot of secrets and mysteries begin to unfold in the families intertwining lives. It definitely would sit within the Mystery, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Drama and Crime TV Dramas sections of Netflix.

Series One was released in December 2017 but I’ve only just found it, and super glad I did. It’s a German series but can be watched with English dub, so don’t let that put you off watching. It definitely gave me feels of Stranger Things with a more mature and mind-bending feel. It’s a full on watch that requires your full attention to follow the complex story and piece things and characters together. Some parts left me confused, but the more you watch things will unroll and make more sense. It’s just a mind blowing plot which is one of the more interesting and stimulating things I’ve watched in a long time. It is a very addicted watch, and I have binge watched this very quickly.

Netflix’s Dark description reads,

“A missing child sets four families on a frantic hunt for answers as they unearth a mind-bending mystery that spans three generations.”

In total there are 10 episodes in Season One. Each episodes ranged from 44 minutes to 51 minutes each. All totalling up to nearly 10 hours of binge watching you need to watch now! There is going to be a Season Two which I’m already so excited for. Filming for that started in June in and around Berlin and hopefully will grace our screens the end of this year or next year I am currently unsure, but I know I can’t wait.

I’d definitely rate this a 5/5 and a must to watch if you’re into the Mystery/Sci-Fi/Crime realm of Netflix.

Let me know if you’ve already watched this and your thoughts in the comments, or if you’re going to give this one a watch!
